Registered Nigerian Dwarf Goats

Pint-sized superstars

Registered Nigerian Dwarf Goats

Nigerian dwarf goats can be raised for a variety of reasons, including their milk, as pets, and for their manure:
Milk
Nigerian dwarf goats are the smallest dairy goat breed and can produce up to two quarts of milk per day. Their milk has 10% more protein and butterfat than most dairy goats. They are pint-size milking superstars who boast the highest percentage of butterfat (making their milk extra rich and creamy), but they also have the highest protein content, as well! Making it ideal for cheese, ice cream, yogurt, and more.
Pets
Nigerian dwarf goats are friendly, calm, and playful, making them good companions for children, the elderly, and people with disabilities. They are also easy to manage and house, and their babies are relatively small.
Show
Registered Nigerian Dwarf goats are 4H eligible (as long as horns are removed). They are shown under the "Dairy Goats" category.
Manure
Nigerian dwarf goat manure is odorless and can be used as natural compost for gardens.
They are fantastic at landscaping. We get overgrowth of various vegetation along our creek and we can move our goats where needed and they work wonders on cleaning up- including poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac! They are our "glorified lawnmowers and weed whackers."
